Once
again Dodgy Gear will be supporting our team and many events
this year. Here is a bit on info on the events you can find
us attending in 08.
PADDLE
ROUND THE PIER 2008
Dodgy Gear has been a keen supporter of the annual PRTP festival
over the years.
Every year the Paddle seems to attract a bigger interest and
in the last two years alone over £24k has been raised
for some very worthwhile charities.
Along with the usual fun to be had in the water races a lot
will be happening on Hove Lawns including:- skate competition,
climbing wall and street surfing. There will also be a great
line up of live music, shopping, food and drink and loads for
the Kids to do
BRISTOL
BIKE FEST- Sat 7th and 8th JUNE 08
Summer 2008, Ashton Court is once again host of the Bristol
Bikefest – one of the most loved cycle events in the country.
Dodgy Gear will of course be sponsoring and giving prizes at
it most local event. Set in the heart of Bristol the Bike Fest
is now a permanent fixture in the UK biking calendar and has
been drawing riders from all over the country.
The last few years saw possibly the best course
in the UK relay race scene and it was the playing field for
Team 12 and 6 hour endurance event, Solo 12 hour championships
and the UK Single Speed Champs.
The date for this spectacle is the 7-8th June
2008 and everything will take place in Ashton Court just minutes
from the Bristol city centre. There will also be a great musical
line-up, with live music and DJs running from early evening
late into the night on Friday and Saturday.
Cheddar
Bikefest (formally known as Cheddar Challenge) event 2008.
Sept 27th- 28th
2007 saw the rebirth of the Cheddar Challenge in the form of
the Kona Cheddar Bikefest. Almost 800 riders joined the ‘Festivities’
and challenged one of the most demanding courses in the UK event
scene and put Cheddar back on the UK events map.
2008 will be the 2nd year the Cheddar Bikefest sponsored by
KONA Bikes will return on the 27-28th September 2008 with a
slightly changed setup and with a new course.
As in previous years Dodgy Gear will be supporting the event
and our riders taking part.
Sleepless
In The Saddle- 9th/ 10th August 2008
24hr MTB event for teams, pairs and solo riders. This year’s
event will include a night speed time trial, bicycle drag race,
huge expo arena, and childrens mini skills school. Held at Catton
Park, Staffs.
Mountain
Mayhem- 20th, 21st, 22nd June 2008
The original UK 24hr MTB event now in its 11th year, for teams
and solo riders. Held at Eastner Castle Deer Park, Ledbury,
Herefordshire
ENDURO 6- 26th/ 27th APRIL 2008
The classic early season endurance race, now in its 8th year.
The event is for solos and pairs only, battling it out round
the ever popular Catton Park in Staffs
