Poppy Makes 3rd place at the Moskito
in the Under 16's Gabi Rowe,and Dodgy gear/Splashography Sponsored Poppy Barlow and Zoe Sheath made it through to the finals before being beaten narrowly by Tassy Swallow.

New Faces for the Dodgy Gear Team for 2008

This year Dodgy Gear will be supporting our team through a busy summer of events.
We have also signed some new names and faces to the Dodgy Gear Team. This includes:-

Dave Pepperell who is one of the best young BMX riders in the UK. Dave is from Penzance , Cornwall and has only been riding for 4 years. In 2006 he came 2nd in the Rip Curl Boardmasters mini ramp comp. In 2007 he was a demo rider for the Boardmasters competition. This year Dave will be competing in many contests around the South West including the BMX Easter Jam at Mount Hawke Skate park...and will be supported through all his competitions and events by his sponsors- Splashography®, & Dodgy Gear™. Dave loves the Cornish BMX scene and his favourite trick is Superman Tailwhip.

He rides a pink Mutiny Captain with Odyssey wheelsThouh we hear a New frame is on the way. When we asked Dave why he loves BMX he said “BMX has got me through a lot of tough times and has made me the person I am today. Stick at it kids cause its fun and you will no doubt meet some of the nicest, most interesting people in your life”

Another new signing is Poppy Barlow who hit the Cornish surf competition scene in2007 with a string of good results including 1st in the South Coaster competition, 2nd in Penwith Schools comp, 4th in Godrevy No Pro comp and reached the Semi Finals of the Cornish Schools comp . Poppy is just 16 years old and has only been surfing for 3 years, so her dedication and progress has been amazing. In 2008 she will be competing in many of the BSA surfing Contests as well as the Penwith and Cornish Schools contests. Poppy will be fully supported this year by her Sponsors Dodgy Gear™ Clothing and Splashography®

Our Latest Aquisition thanks to Mel from Splashography who referred Josh to us last year and we've watched his enthusiasm over the last 12 months grow and we reached a position at the beginning of this season where we could take on just one more surfer and had no hesitations at signing Josh to the team Josh is 16 and has been surfing for around 4-5years making himself felt on the competition scene last year with again a string of good results. and reaching into the top 3 at the penwith and Penryn schools contests over the past 2 years. We'll be supporting Josh in the 2008 season along with Splashography and wish him a great season and welcome him to the Dodgy Gear team.
